She is dressed in the finest clothes, as she is literally succumbing in wealth. Long silk dresses of the highest fashion, expensive fur coats and stoles and a priceless jewellery collection. One could buy the average middle-class home with one of her diamond rings.
Personality
Kristina is an outgoing person with a lot of charm and people’s knowledge. She is very kind, but definitely know how she wants it, when she wants it and most important: what she wants. If something does not go as plannend, she is known to make a scene. But what wealthy and beautiful woman is not allowed to do so? As she knows how to work her charms, one might find her a tat flirtatious. She never gets enough attention of men and she loves it. She also likes to thank them, may it be in different ways. She is very thoughtful.
She likes to have a drink sometimes and therefore can’t stand the prohibition. What good is a party without the booze? She know how to get her hands on it and likes to defy the law from time to time. One can achieve many great things with money and beauty, and she is not afraid to use both of them.
Background and History
Kristina Devorah was born with the name Edelstein. Born in a wealthy jewish family in the family townhouse in Potsdam, she enjoyed the best education, had a great childhood but also a strict upbringing. With the wealth she had grown up with , she was destined to be married to a wealthy jewish man. Thankfully for her, there were more than enough of those. And her father knew all of them. He was a merchant in gemstones and also a jeweller, so he could put his hands on the best gemstones there were for the commissioned pieces by royal houses and noble families.
The Edelstein family became close friends with many customers, them being invited on dinner parties and feasts. Her father stumbled upon a jewish gentlemen, a banker with business overseas. His family bought their way into the nobility and that certain gentleman went by the name of Isaac, Graf von Hirsch zu Bleichröder. Without even consulting Kristina, the wedding was arranged. Thankfully the gentleman was to her liking as well and they got married as soon as Kristina reached the age of 18. During the summer of 1907, they got married and from then on, she became the Gräfin von Hirsch zu Bleichröder.
The newlyweds enjoyed a happy life. Isaac had a most beautiful wife and Kristina a most wealthy husband, who was a loving one as well, with a noble title. During the outbreak of the first world war, both Isaac and Kristina saw fit to leave Germany and to move to New York City, where Isaac worked in his overseas office. He bought a two story apartment overlooking the Central Park with terrace on the upper east side where they spent some happy years, throwing lavish parties, having a marvellous time. However, during these 'carefree' years, Kristina became aware of the fact she was sterile and could not get pregnant. She also discovered, after that news, that Isaac had a drinking habit, and a bad one too. He mistreated and abused her from time to time, mostly because she was unable to have any children. This was not the marriage as was promised.
These happy times unfortunately ended when Isaac was accidentally murdered in 1918. An assassin took Isaac for the wrong guy and put three bullets in him, one of them hitting an arthery, or so the story was told. From then on, Kristina was a widow, rich, famous, noble and childless.
She decided to stay in New York, not feeling much for returning to the chaotic Europe, and not feeling the need to be reconciled with her family... or her in-laws. After a period of obligated grief (though an unsual short one), she returned to her usual lifestyle. Being a socialite, spending her money and party away.
