Victoria Marianne Parker
(Scarlett Johansson)
(Scarlett Johansson)
Full Name: Victoria Marianne Parker
Nickname(s): Vic. Mostly Vic. "Shortie". "Blondie". And her personal favourite, "Blonde Bitch".
DOB (Age): She's 24 years old and was born September 21st, 1896.
Birthplace: New York City, born and raised.
Job/Profession: Private Detective.
Affiliation: Unaffiliated, at least for the moment.
Sexuality: Heterosexual. If there was any way possible that she could be a lesbian, she would be, but she doesn't particularly trust women, either. At the moment, she's effectively asexual, but that's more due to life than any natural leanings.
Hair Color: Blonde.
Height: Five foot even.
Weight: She stopped paying attention a few years ago. Probably around 90-95 pounds? She's pretty scrawny.
Distinguishing Features: Her eyes and her mouth.
Appearance
Vic's dominant feature is her eyes. They're large and expressive, though she's learned to keep her emotions and thoughts shielded. She used to show everything she was thinking, but she can't remember the last time someone called her on a bluff. Her eyes are a striking deep blue, so people tend to notice the colour first and foremost. She has high and pronounced cheekbones, full lips that usually have a sardonic twist to them, and a nose that can only be described as "aristocratic". She's rather small, at five feet tall, though she will typically wear heels to bump her height up by a bit. If people are feeling generous, they'll refer to her as "slim", but the truth is, she's scrawny as hell, though somehow, she manages to give the illusion of curves. She honestly doesn't know how. Vic usually wears trousers and blouses, with her hair pulled back neatly and her makeup meticulously applied, for a woman's makeup is a part of her armour. Due to her job, she has knives and guns stashed all over her body, though she prefers the knives. She's been known to actually wear dresses, usually when a job calls for it rather than because she wants to wear a dress, and she periodically dresses in young boy's clothes to blend in, though she has to prepare for that and can't simply wear the clothes and expect it to be a disguise.
Personality
Vic is a sarcastic bitch and she makes no bones about it. If she doesn't like you or disagrees with you, she'll usually let you know unless she has an advantage to gain by keeping her mouth shut. She doesn't trust anyone, with the single exception of her father. Vic can lie at the drop of a hat and hasn't found anyone, with the exception of her father once again, that she can't lie to. She probably could lie to her dad, but she doesn't even attempt it. She respects him too much, and she refuses to betray his trust like that. She's highly intelligent and even more observant. She always knows what's going on around her, due to necessity. She frequently sets about learning something that she thinks might come in handy, and applies to learning it until she's as good at it as she can possibly get. She's not confident in her abilities in a fight, but she's tried learning as much as she can. It's just that she's as small as she is, and she's never going to be able to pack that much force into a blow. Her worst quality is probably how little she trusts people. She has reason for not doing so, and she's not going to change it about herself.
Background and History
Vic was born to a police officer that took his job very seriously, and an alcoholic who thought that abandoning her family at the first sign of trouble was acceptable behavior.
Not that Vic's bitter about it or anything.
Okay, yes, she definitely is bitter about it. Ask her how much she cares about that bitterness.
She's extremely close to her father, though, since he's basically the one who raised her. There's a reason that she refuses to lie to him. There's also a reason that he doesn't know everything that's happened to her, because she's pretty sure he'd kill someone if he did. Vic tries to not dwell on that, though, even if it has rendered her effectively unable to trust anyone that isn't her dad. She has a few friends, yes, but there's always a piece of her that's wondering when they're going to abandon her, too. Vic's father worked hard to make sure that Vic could go to a good school, and Vic never told him just how much the other students hated her, even if they did take advantage of her ability to solve problems and her willingness to do a lot for money. The best thing that happened to her was graduation. Her father was kicked out of the police department after a scandal, but Vic never believed what other people were saying about him. Plenty of people around still like and respect him, even if plenty of other people wanted to believe the worst about him. He didn't know how to not solve problems and investigate things, so he became a private detective, and Vic set about learning everything from him that she could. In the past six years, she's made a fair name for herself, though there are a lot of people that don't think that a girl can be a halfway decent private dick. Vic doesn't try to prove anything to them. She simply does the jobs she gets to the best of her ability, and there are a lot of those that she's able to do extremely well.
Typically, people don't come to her unless they're at the end of their rope. But Vic is glad that she's able to help them, regardless of when or why they come to her.
