The Harlem Gang Plot
"Take What You Can Get"
Enemies: None
Experiencing a relatively quiet time in Black Harlem, the Numbers Gang keep other criminal enterprises out and look after their own. They're not big or loud enough to be stepping on anybody's toes... yet. Aside from the peace, the people of Harlem are also witnessing "The Harlem Renaissance", and the neighborhood is rife with young, black writers, artists, musicians and "new negro" patrons. The tranquility and harmony grants the opportunity to any aspiring black youths to make a good deal of money under the protection of their own kind. "The Bolito King", Casper Holstein, keeps everything in check with the help of his enforcers, resilient men to be reckoned with, and with a matriarch like Madame St. Clair to look up too, young black women are able to branch out on their own and become successful, too. Perhaps Black Harlem is the place to make a fortune?
